depends on who’s fault it is. if its not yours then the other party would have to pay for medical expenses, but depending on how bad the accident is and the coverage that their insurance offers there is a limit to reimbursement.

If it was his fault, all medical expenses would be his to pay. If left unpaid, it would result in very poor credit

Yeah, it really depends. If in the U.S.= You gotta pay! or Good bye credit! or perhaps you can get in a government funded medical assistance program, but that’s not always the case, if you’re somewhere else you should be able to afford treatment. Another thing that can happen is a long-term medical condition depending on the situation not limited to physical injuries, but also psychological and mental stress! Oh, and start looking for a good lawyer and a new car!

In PA, on auto insurance there is medical coverage on an auto policy. You may want to check with your auto insurance company to see if there is any Medical coverage on your policy. The medical on the auto insurance in PA on a policy for an insured also carries over to another vehicle for the insured if they are injured while a passenger in someone else’s vh. If you do have medical coverage on your policy, check to see if you can have it increased if you are concerned about exausting that amount. Also any other amount which exceeds the medical coverage on the policy is left for the insured to pay.
This all depends on the situation of the accident as well.
