Hate GWB? Love BHO? Consider this…

November 15, 2009 12:59 am | #3Im glad Bush kept us safe. didn’t agree with all his yes , yes , yes to domestic spending. As for Obama i want all his POLICY’S to fail big time. Why – because he is a SOCIALIST.
November 15, 2009 1:49 am | #4I agree on Bush and him keeping us safe, and that he did alot of things that were bad or mistakes/miscalculations.And I agree with you also on wanting Obama to fail as far as his policies go. I have had people tel me I wasnt being “patriotic” wanting Obama to fail. I told them that as long as he was pushing for things that were bad for the country & possibly unconstitutional, I indeed DID want him to fail at that.
November 15, 2009 2:06 am | #5Question: Given that most of the policies enacted so far have the stated goal of moving beyond the recession, how would the failure of those policies be a BENEFIT to the country? You want to worry about his policies, feel free. But actively rooting for the collapse of the economy or a slide completely into depression? Isn’t being able to say “ha! told you so!” a cold comfort at that point?
November 15, 2009 2:59 am | #6Question: Given that most of the policies enacted so far have the stated goal of winning the war in Iraq, how would a failure of those policies be a BENEFIT to the country and our soldiers? You want to worry about Bush’s policies, feel free. But actively rooting for our failure in Iraq & our troops, contribute to emboldening our enemies? Yeah, maybe people want O’s policies to fail. I find it to be more of a prediction. (Japan’s lost decade) But, Dems were participants in thwarting Iraqi success
November 15, 2009 3:45 am | #7Deeds, not words. Once we see it in the deeds, maybe we’ll believe the words. Obama has quickly developed a reputation of saying one thing and doing another. You don’t add a bunch of pork and call it stimulus. Yes, Dems AND Reps added the pork, but it gets approved on Obama’s watch. Also look at failed words such as “Transparency” = after the damage is done, “No Lobbyists” = plenty of them, “Change” = Biden and former Clinton Admin, “Stop Pork” = 8,000+ earmarks, etc.
November 15, 2009 4:21 am | #8If you think for one moment that I was actively hoping for thousands of our soldiers to die over there, you sir can go straight to hell. And that’s the thing- your presumptions of what the left thinks and seeks to accomplish is rarely grounded in reality. Bush always struck me as honestly trying to do the right thing; I think his ideas of right were too slanted in one direction for his own good, but I was never shortsighted or spiteful enough to wish his plans to fail before they’d had an effect
November 15, 2009 5:07 am | #9obamasensation. IronythatisLife answered your question to me quite well. But I’ll respond, too:I think his ideas will end up hurting the country/economy worse than doing nothing & letting capitalism run its course. There MAY be some short term benefit to his plans, but I think the long-term harm will be not worth it. So I DO want him to fail at his policies that I think are bad for the nation & the principles on which it was founded.btw, I’m not rooting for economic collapse.
