President Barack Obama’s early involvement with politics was inspired by his mother’s interest in the controversial social issues of her times — a passion that she passed on to her son. As the first African American editor of the Harvard Law Review, the first African American presidential nominee of a major political party, and eventually the first African American president of the United States, Barack Obama has consistently shattered barriers — barriers that some people thought could never be overcome. However, life has not always been easy for President Obama. And a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER shall lead them….
The most inexperienced and least qualified of all presidents.
Never held office previously
Was only a Junior Senator with little experience with the legislative branch
Never proposed any substantial ideas or innovative bills
Never a CEO or in an executive position
Has proven to be a polarizing figure with radical, anti American; anti white associates
Claims victory for anything positive, but STILL blames all mishaps on Bush (thats getting old)
This man is now a US President; not because he is qualified, but because his PUBLIC RELATIONS campaign succeeded at pushing the mantra of change… WITHOUT EVER DEFINING WHAT THE CHANGE WAS.
Now that the honeymoon is over, it is clear to even the liberal element that this was a mistake and he is not what his campaign portrayed him.
If you want to discuss real change, take a look at a real president, like that of Ronald Reagan. There are some fine audio books (Reagan in his own words, Reagan Diaries), this is for the serious scholar; and sell the Obama book on ebay for a $1, that’s all it’s worth.

My son wanted to do a project on Mr Obama so we decided to give this book a try. There were parts that he needed help with but overall was able to handle it on his own. I purchased the Kindle version so he was really excited about that!!

I loved reading this book with my nine year old son. It is wonderfully thorough in describing President Obama’s life from childhood to his inauguration. I was moved by his story and inspired by the possibilities…

Wonderful moving account of the life of our next President. Even though it is meant for young adults, I bought a copy for my first grade grandson. He loves it!

This book was purchased to add to my book shelf for my third grade students. I’ve had a lot of interest from my students about Barack Obama. This book is very well written and easily understood by third graders although the readability level is probably at the fifth grade level. I’d consider this a book that would be suitable for my above average readers.
