   OK let’s use your poll, 47 to 43 is probably within the margin of error. That makes it about even.So by the poll you cite, it’s just as inaccurate for someone to say “American’s don’t want the public option” than it would be to say they do.

   Tcars4u. Most young people today have never had to struggle in life and have never seen hard times ,, long years of hard work and hard times are what builds a man’s character,, this is why you will hear so many four letter words coming out of their mouths when they try and argue a point. And this same lack of character is why the young people loved Bill Clinton, and Obama.

   I’m with you Kiddo .. I worked many years as well as other Elderly .. put the money in your faithful citizens .. not the illegals .. HE wants to change and/or get rid of medicare and allow elderly citizens NO medical care? Shame on you OBAMA.. SHAME ON YOU ..

   Enough American’s are sooo dissappointed in our first Black/White President .. it’s TERRIBLE .. his politics are NOT indictetive (sp) of what America stands for .. I say it’s time for us to bombard the Senate and Congress and call for an impeachment of this RADICAL shamefull representative of OUR America .. the land of the FREE and the BRAVE .. he’s slapping the faces of all our Military who has given their lives and limbs by fighting for our constitution.

   Gretchen,The majority of Americans do not support the public option. I think you’re referring to a poll funded by the liberal group MoveOn, which consistently showed that ~75% of Americans believe it’s important to have a “choice” between government run and private health insurance.When NBC ran a poll taking choice out of the question and simply asked Americans if they were in favor of the public option, they found that only 43% actually supported the idea, while 47% were opposed.

    And another thing!!. I know this is not PC,,,,,, but why do we keep paying for illegals in this country?, does anyone else have a problem with our Government taking out tax money and spending it on people that come into this Country for the purpose of just getting free stuff?. This is not just about Health Insurance people, this is about “How much more can the working US tax payer take before he hits bottom?.
