Mccain Supporters: Why Did You Hate Obama Before This Whole Socialist Nonsense Came About?

07 Sep

The number one excuse as to why people hate Obama that I see right now is ‘he’s a socialist’ .. what was your reason for hating him before John McCain / Sarah Palin started accusing him of socialism?

    Great question. Star for you
It seems like many GOPites have that scardie bone. Lose it. You have been scarred into voting for Bush not once but twice. It is difficult to think rationally when you are scared.
Anyone that voted for Bush twice should put a bit more thought into who they vote for in the coming election. As they say, if you keep doing the same thing over and over, you must not be very smart to think that the out come will be different. The GOP has its puppet masters, regardless who comes in, the same people will be pulling the strings.

This whole socialist nonsense is directly tied to a direct quote from Obama with his “spreading the wealth is a good thing” comment.
We always suspected he was more a socialist than a democrat, so no surprise in his words other than the outright stupidity it took to utter them out loud for the whole country to hear.
I don’t hate Obama, merely distrust his politics and the reason for that comes from a comment he made concerning the SCOTUS ruling on the DC gun ban, a ban he supported, along with his failure to fight for the right to self-defense of his own constituients in Chicago, the land of another gun-ban.
“I have always believed that the Second Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms, but I also identify with the need for crime-ravaged communities to save their children from the violence that plagues our streets through common-sense, effective safety measures. The Supreme Court has now endorsed that view, and while it ruled that the D.C. gun ban went too far, Justice Scalia himself acknowledged that this right is not absolute and subject to reasonable regulations enacted by local communities to keep their streets safe. Today’s ruling, the first clear statement on this issue in 127 years, will provide much-needed guidance to local jurisdictions across the country.”
In other words he and Scalia believe the Second Amendment actually reads something like the following:
“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall be determined by the Congress and the States and the Cities and the Counties and the Towns (and someone named Fred.)”
That ruling was a shockingly narrow 5 to 4 decision and Obama would seek to reverse it 5 to 4. Or he and a completely democratic Congress could change the number of Justices, which the Constitution gives them the authority to do, and simply have a 6 to 5, or 7 to 5 or any other number they please.
In an interview with a Chicago public radio station, Obama complained that “the Supreme Court [which was created by our Founding Fathers in the Constitution] never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.”
Obama went on to explain that the Constitution, in his view, was a “charter of negative liberties.” Obama expounded, “It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”
Given his remarks, it is clear that an Obama presidency will not “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution,” rather, it will change the Constitution to suit his ideology – an ideology that is far different from the one held by our Founding Fathers.
Obama’s redistributive economic plan is copied directly from a manifesto written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, which states, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” Or, as Obama has rewritten it, the need to “spread the wealth around.” Marx, Engels and Obama believe in state guarantees of welfare, not the God-given right of freedom.
In other words, Obama represents everything I have fought against for 50 years.
If he’s elected I will simply be forced to fight his every move. Conscience will allow no other action on my part.
No compromise, no way, ever on these points.

I do not hate Obama and I actually spent some time researching his stand on issues, including going to his website and listening to his speeches, etc.I do not agree with his stand on Iraq or Pakistan or abortion and I do not like his stand on immigration or his lack of experience,

He believes Roe VS Wade was a right decision, he supports gay marriage, he aligned himself with anti American radicals, and he had no problem sitting under the “ministry” of Wright who is a total racist and in my opinion, not a true reflection of the black Americans. To put in short – he’s crazy.

“Spread the wealth around” If that doesn’t sound like a socialist to you than I suggest you read a book called The Road to Serfdom it should explain it for you.
