How will the health care reform bill, should it pass, God I hope it DOES NOT, affect hospital stocks?
We need to stop this Government take over of our liberties. Ronald Reagan said the nine most frightening words anyone could hear are ” I’m with the government and I’m here to help”.
Done the right way better health care and increased profitability can both be the attainable goals. Not stealing our childrens money for our own benefit!!!
Why is Obama making seniors second class citizens with this “stimulus” bill that hides health care reform?

Welcome to Socialized medicine and rationed health care.
Is Reid’s bill so unpopular because it abolishes right of patients to privately contract with their physicians?

Here is some comments from the former head of the AMA about how you will be prohibited from contracting directly with your doctor (same already goes in Canada or UK). starts at about four and a half minutes into the video…

It seems like the more people know, the more obvious this is about a radical agenda to weaken the US’s political power with growing structural deficits that unlike war spending will never go away and instead are likely to grow faster since the price paid for healthcare becomes much less than the actual costs, with tax-payers left holding the difference.
It seems like Obama and Pelosi are pushing a Cloward-Piven strategy to force USA into a Marxist dictatorship. If Capitalism has resulted in 99% of the wealth being controlled by 1%, isn’t that still better than letting Obama and Pelosi (and Soros) control 100% of the weatlh?
Did anyone see the meeting between Bill Clinton and Obama today?
Uh, awkward!
The body language was priceless. Bill Clinton didn’t even look at Obama. I can’t blame him though. I wouldn’t look at someone who tagged me as a racist for some innocent comment.
What did you think of this meeting?
Hillary 2012!
What would a conservative health care reform bill look like ?
Price tags on body parts for malpractice lawsuits ?
Doctors aren’t allowed to talk to patients about end of life decisions ?
Abortion illegal or super expensive ?
C’mon CONS !!!… I know you have to have SOME ideas…. so let’s hear a few….. !
How is this new health care bill supposed to lower prices?
I don’t understand how will it make the insurance companies charge a lot less than they are now.
Is the new health care bill going to be yet another blow to the middle class?
It seems to be that the people who are worthless to this country (welfarerans) will benefit from this and the already sick and dieing will benefit from this. But if the costs of these people gets to high there is no way the INS companies are going to take the hit. So wont they just raise coverage plans that will eventually screw the middle class again and again?
If the health care reform bill is about reform, why is it going to cost tax payers trillions of dollars?
How does regulating insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies cost trillions in tax dollars?
The pricetage came from the whitehouse. Haven’t heard anything from the insurance companies.
Is Harry Reed a genius to put his LA to Las Vegas ca$h transfer train into “B’s” Spend-N-loot Bill?
Reed will end up the beneficiary of $60 Billion Dollars for the High Speed Train and Obama ie “B” will get all the flack for the Pork
Sometimes playing the fool (like Reed) really pays off.
Does the Passing of the Obamacare Bill actually amount to what may be a suicide pact for the Democrats?
The Democratic Party’s decision to deform our healthcare system in the name of reforming it amounts to a suicide pact. With America decrying the legislation by 60-40 margins, the legislators lined up and dutifully drank the Kool-Aid.
A few traitors who had previously passed themselves off as opponents of the legislation in the November vote turned their coats and revealed their true convictions by switching and voting no. These representatives – who, at the moment, include Murphy (NY), Kosmas (Fla), Boyd (Fla), Kucinich (Ohio), Boccieri (Ohio), Nye (Va), and Markey (Col) – have made themselves special targets for our political wrath. They have painted targets on their backs with their cowardice in November and perfidy in March.
The anger of the voters at this total disregard of public opinion will power Republican candidates throughout the nation and will impel one of the greatest reversals of Congressional alignment in history.
But the aftershock of this political earthquake is yet to come. It will be upon us in the fall when Congress must decide whether to proceed with the Medicare cuts (particularly to cut in doctors’ reimbursement rates) or to postpone or cancel them and add the cost to the federal deficit.
Either they will make a shambles of Medicare or a mockery of their pretense of fiscal responsibility. The cuts would force broad swaths of the medical community – physicians and institutions – to refuse to treat Medicare patients. Their cancellation of postponement would swell the deficit and underscore the cynicism with which President Obama characterized the plan as a great deficit reduction measure.
This vote transforms the political landscape in a way that we have not seen in our lifetimes and the results will be cataclysmic for the Democratic Party.
Opinions ?
Would you support a health care reform bill written by a republican?
We can not trust democrats on our dime. The only rational option is to let a republican do all the work.
Do you think the new health care bill will help pay for abortions?
I have heard many arguments that while there is no direct funding of abortion in this bill, It does fund organizations that provide abortions and without the funding these organizations would not be able to support themselves. what is your opinion? And what facts help support you?
Was it any surprise to see Joe Lieberman waffle on the health care reform bill yesterday?
Anyone who thinks that Joe is going to filibuster this bill isn’t paying attention to the fact that Harry Reid can strip him of his much coveted Chairman of the Committee on Government Affairs position (thus moving him from the most senior position to the most junior position in the committee) and his much coveted Senate office which is still in the Democrat wing of the Senate office building.
I sure hope that Republicans weren’t pinning all their hopes on Joe.
That would be a fatal mistake.
why r republicans worried over Bill Clinton & Obama meeting today to plan their upcoming joint campaign events?
Shouldn’t they just have their “great president” george dubya campaign for mccain instead of worrying about our great president Bill C?
I’ve heard that you republicans fear Bill Clinton but please try and calm down.
