How do health insurance premiums go down if private insurance is forced to cover preexisting illnesses?

99% of the claims made in favor of the house health care bill are outright lies. It is amazing that people believe these things. Explain to me how if private insurance companies are forced to cover people with preexisting illnesses and not allowed to discriminate on a variety of factors, costs go down.

only cover catastrophic loss.
Can you imagine what your auto insurance would cost if you made a claim every time you got a flat or a tune up ?
Or what your home owners insurance would cost if you made a claim every time a light bulb burned out or you wanted your carpet cleaned ?
Maybe that’s the reason medical insurance premiums are so high ?

I need a health insurance plan that covers birth control, anyone know what the cheapest is? Planned parenthood here is not covered by the state, so it’s around $60/month for pills. My problem is that I don’t have an American social security number, do I really need that? If so, what if my husband gets a family plan that covers me, would I still need to have a SSN?

Home insurance covers big events, like fires, theft, etc. It doesn’t cover replacing every light bulb. Shouldn’t health insurance be the same way?

I think i saw something at my dermatologist’s office called velashape…. I forget what exactly it’s called, but it helps reduce cellulite. Would my insurance cover any of the procedure?

I’m with bluecross blueshield and they exclude this surgery. The real pain is my company just switched to blueshield from aetna, who does cover it. Just my luck. This surgery is very important to me, I want to fix my underbite. Does anyone know what healthcare providers cover this, and what employers use it so I know where to apply to get this insurance? Or at least recommend an oral surgeon that knows what he’s doing and is somewhat affordable? Thanks.

I can’t find it anywhere. I’m currently under my parents health insurance but if I move, then I no longer qualify to stay in their health care plan. I need to know if the new bill covers Mental Health Care that will help with my therapy and psych appointments along with Medications. Can anyone help me out?
