The Ninth Amendment deals with our unalienable rights…Right to fruits of our labor, right to contract and such…
Ruth – I see The Constitution as a restriction to government, not a listing of rights. The Ninth says, because rights are not listed, does not exclude them.
The point being The Rights exist, The Constitution protects them by limiting the government. Something lost on the left.

the healthcare bill debate actually not over. 20% of all democratic voters who voted for Brown support the health care bill as the 80% of democrats who voted for Coakley.
there was NO spike in Republicans this election who just came out of no where. it was Democrats who voted for other issues besides healthcare, that put Brown in power.
and in fact, the majority of people who voted along the lines of healthcare, support the bill and voted to SAVE the bill, not to kill it off, according to a rasumussen poll ( http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/01/20/poll-majority-of-massachusetts-health-voters-wanted-to-save-ref/ )
so why do people think it was a slight at Obama, or the healthcare bill? maybe Brown was just more charismatic, right?

what makes people run into the defense of Michelle Obama when someone negatively comments on her looks?
was the same courtesy made to Sarah Palin when people comment against her the way people are running to Michelle Obama’s defense? how is it not a double standard? when it’s a black person negatively commented on, people will throw insults to the commenter, but when it’s a white person negatively commented on, suddenly everything is okay. why is that?
