Noy2 Aquino is most favored to be GMA’s replacement in 2010. Out of 1800 survey participants, 60% included him in the list of 3 names they would prefer to become president.
So why exactly is he so popular? What has he done, is doing or could do for the people of the Philippines? How does he compare to his opponents and what sets him apart? How much of his appeal is due to his own merits and not to his family’s reputation?
I’m curious.
Is it me are is that these 2 guys hate President Barack Obama ( I voted for him and campaign for him). Hannity did a interview with Rush Limbaugh and these guys tried to do anything in there power to get people to vote for McCain or Clinton by having their listeners switch from being Rep to Dems so they can vote for Clinton so she could get the nomination BUT it backfired on them!!!! So these guys must not be as powerful as they think!!! I’m quite sure Rush is rac*** and probably Sean too!! Sean is already promoting the 2012 election race aganist our new President . I never saw these when Bush was in there!! They really thought Bush did a great job!! WTF!!
His entire show is dedicated to the Obama adminstration-EVERYTHING!! If they sneeze wrong he is going to talk about why they sneezed!! I never saw this when Bush was in there!!!

Obama is doing okay with women according to CNN but many polls show McCain with double digit leads with white men and it’s even bigger with seniors.
Is this bad for Obama since seniors usually turn out the highest and white men are suppose to be a swing vote or do you think his new voters and younger voters will cancel it out?
I’m 18, white and will vote Obama but my parents and grandparents are not.
The AOL straw poll for the presidential election shows Obama leading in Illinois and Iowa but trailing Clinton in South Carolina by a big margin. Can anyone explain this?

Third-party presidential candidates finally will have their own debate: at 8 p.m. Sunday at Columbia University in New York.
The debate, which will be announced Wednesday, will include at least three of the four third-party candidates… Democratic nominee Barack Obama and Republican nominee John McCain are also invited.

Third Party candidates have tried for many years to be included. The fact is – they aren’t wanted. The two major parties have a vested interest in making sure their opinions remain “irrelevant”.

Lobbyists for the big health insurance companies have always had Washington politicos in their back pocket. That is why you never see anything done to really improve the situation. The health care plan Obama is proposing certainly won’t improve the situation. It makes health insurance companies look good in comparison. And not everyone will qualify for the new insurance option, so many will be forced to shop around or go bare…as always.
The plain and simple truth is, politicians will not care about improving the situation as long as lobbyists who wine and dine them are around.
You’re right, Joe. The AMA isn’t completely innocent in this. There are plenty of doctors in the United States who refuse to become a member, or drop their membership from them, because of suspicious activities within the association(s).
I do worry about lawyers. My brother is an attorney and my father is a judge. However, attorneys have little to do with the issue of health insurance and its lobbyists.
