People outside of the South seem to think us white southerners are a bunch of hillbilly’s that driver big trucks and burn crosses on weekends. Fact of the matter is lots of us white southerners support Obama and are less racist then the rest of America since we have had a lot more experience dealing with race issues. So back to the question, why do people wrongfully assume Obama wont get our vote?

I just read an article where women complained that the progressive white men in their lives got all glassy eyed when talking about Obama. These men would hear no talk of Clinton. Several women shared that the college educated white men in their lives looked on Obama as the politic/secular second coming for the democratic party. Does anybody really feel this way?

Older white women are angry that Obama is the nominee and not Hillary Clinton, and as a result many are supporting Mc Cain/Palin mainly because Palin is a woman.
