according to him there are no earmarks in the plan. stimulus is spending did you miss that speech? and the omnibus plan is leftover legislation from the prior admin.

Obviously he had “his team” come up with this stimulus package and probably knows not even 1/4 of what is in there. Now that the Republicans can go through it line by line, it will all come to light and the people will see what the Democrats are making our children pay for. It really burns me up!

First not all “Earmarks” are bad. Second there were only a small handful of earmarks.

Democrats don’t have total control over congress. While they have a majority, there are plenty of procedural roadblocks the minority can throw up to hold up legislation.
Also, the earmarks are such a minor part of the total budget, something like 4-8 billion earmarks to 410 billion total is it really worth the time and effort to fight them when passing the bill is more important, or when there are more important things to fight about in the coming months.
You have to pick your fights and while 4 to 8 billion sounds like a lot of money, and it is, it’s pocket change compared to what the war costs, the failing economy is costing us, and the world tensions that exist that could potentially cost us much more.

He lied. There is a liberal agenda and no lie, deceit, theft must stand in the way of dismantling the American way of life and the Constitution and personal freedoms.
We can look forward to at least four more years of lies, blaming others hate filled speech from the liberal Democratic minions to create division among the people.
They must divide the people before they conquer us and they are off to a darn good start.
Patriotic Republicans, Democrats, Moderates and Independents must keep an open mind and let our voices be heard. Forget about the liberals, they are simply pawns being used by liberal politicians.

because he lied……Now that we have cleared that up I will move on. He is hoping that if he breaks most of his promises in the beginning of his term then millions of americans will forget them when he begins running for his second term in 2 years. It is also why he said that he will have half our deficit payed off by 2011-2012…..He cannot do this and cover his budget (over a TRILLION for his first year), provide free health care and such without raising taxes on every american. but we have to remember that only 60% pay taxes, 40% do not pay taxes. This means that our taxes are going to go up, not just on business’s and the rich….but everyone’s taxes will be raised.

Because he is trying to pull America out of the toilet that Republicans had put us in over the previous 8 years… remember Bush inherited a SURPLUS from Bill Clinton whom by the way is…. a DEMOCRAT.

Bush shredded the very foundation of the United States of America by basically rewriting the constitution to the point that he was a dictator.
Oppose him and you were automatically called un-patriot and a terrorist.
At the same time Bush used the 9/11 attacks to wage war on a country that was not responsible for it so that he could use no bid contracts etc to transfer public money (OUR money tax payer money) to the RICH private sector i.e. Halliburton/KBR.
When his time was up Bush then again boldly took RICH private DEBT i.e. WALL STREET and transferred that debt to the public by way of 750 BILLION dollars of public money. ( yes again took OUR taxpayer money to pay off dept of rich irresponsible elite).
As if that was not bad enough now that we have someone in office that is trying to salvage what is left of the American economy after the Republicans were done raping it, we have people trying to tell us that our U.S. President is a Communist and that they hope he fails in trying to fix our very desperate situation.
The rich are now even using the media i.e. Fox News to basically undermine anything the president does. They have become an infomercial for failure.
On the same Fox News network you have people like Glenn Beck coaxing people to revolt against Obama.
Was it a coincidence that the same guy -Rupert Murdock- that owns Fox News also owns the NY Post that published the cartoon of monkey being shot/someone else will have to write the stimulus?
Sean Hannity even incites TREASON on his website that ask Americans which form of revolt against Obama they favored. Armed rebellion?
Sean Hannity , Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are truly wolfs in shepards clothing, trying to lead their sheep of a cliff while sitting back and making millions and laughing all the way to the bank.
