He was a creation of the CIA. In 1959 he was recruited and set up by the CIA to kill the leader of Iraq. He wounded this leader but killed his driver. Saddam continued as a CIA asset but ran into trouble with Bush Sr when he was director of the CIA. Bush had Saddam set up with Saddam believing that he was ‘allowed’ to take care of the business of oil companies in Kuwait slant drilling and stealing Iraqi oil. Therefore, Desert Storm.
Bush had the CIA et up false stories of Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait one of which was the false story of Iraqi soldiers taking babies from their cradles in the hospital and putting them on the floor. They always make up stories like this to get the fool-me-always American public on side.
